    De una dosis intramuscular de 500 mg, entre el 56 y el 89 % se excreta en las primeras seis horas y del 80 % a casi el a hundred % se excreta en un plazo de 24 horas. Después de la administración intramuscular de 500 mg y 1 g, se pueden alcanzar niveles en orina de entre 500 y µg/ml. Se obtiene un nivel sérico máximo de µg/ml después de aproximadamente una hora. Después de la administración de 1 g, se obtuvo un nivel sérico máximo de µg/ml.

    La importancia de los corticoides, desde el punto de vista farmacológico, deriva tanto de los potentes efectos antiinflamatorio e inmunosupresor que poseen, como de los diversos efectos secundarios que pueden provocar. Inicialmente, su efecto antiinflamatorio se demostró en enfermedades reumatológicas, y posteriormente se amplió a otros muchos procesos inflamatorios, como el asma bronquial. En un primer momento, el estudio de los corticoides se dirigió a analizar sus propiedades y a conseguir moléculas más activas. Posteriormente, se centró en mejorar otros aspectos, como la forma de administración, y a reducir sus efectos secundarios.

    Los factores de riesgo serían la deficiencia de vitamina K en pacientes o un efecto sobre otros mecanismos de coagulación (nutrición parenteral, nutrición inadecuada, insuficiencia hepática y renal, trombocitopenia). La coagulación sanguínea también se podrá interrumpir en caso de enfermedades asociadas (p. ej., hemofilia, úlcera gástrica y duodenal) que causen o agraven el sangrado. Por lo tanto, los pacientes con estas afecciones deberán vigilarse para su tiempo de protrombina. Si hay una reducción significativa, se deberá administrar un suplemento de vitamina K (10 mg/semana). En el asma bronquial, la aplicación de corticoides inhalados ha permitido reducir los efectos secundarios de estos medicamentos y extender su utilización. Su efecto, como antiinflamatorio de las vías respiratorias, se manifiesta en la reducción tanto de los síntomas como de la frecuencia y gravedad de las reagudizaciones.

    En casos raros se han notificado nefritis intersticial y nefropatías de etiología desconocida. Los pacientes afectados estaban gravemente enfermos y se les administraron varios medicamentos. No se ha establecido el papel de la cefazolina en el desarrollo de la nefritis intersticial y otras nefropatías. Antes de iniciar el tratamiento con cefazolina, debe hacerse una investigación cuidadosa sobre las reacciones de hipersensibilidad previas a las penicilinas y otros betalactámicos debido a la posibilidad de alergia cruzada.

    Por razones de lejanía, difícil comunicación con respecto de la oficina de farmacia más cercana, aumento estacional de población, o cuando concurran situaciones de emergencia que lo hagan aconsejable, podrá autorizarse el establecimiento de botiquines en aquellos municipios o entidades locales menores que no cuenten con una oficina de farmacia. Reglamentariamente se podrá establecer un régimen de autorización y condiciones de los cierres temporales de las oficinas de farmacia. Será preceptiva la autorización administrativa para proceder voluntariamente al cierre definitivo o temporal de una oficina de farmacia. Sólo se podrán autorizar traslados de oficinas de farmacia dentro de la misma zona farmacéutica y municipio. Para el cómputo de habitantes se tendrá en cuenta la población que conste en la última revisión del padrón municipal vigente en el momento de iniciarse el procedimiento de autorización. C) Respetar al farmacéutico y private de las oficinas de farmacia, y usar sus instalaciones de forma adecuada.

    No obstante lo anterior, la presencia física del farmacéutico titular, regente o sustituto, será obligada dentro del horario mínimo de atención al público establecido por la Autoridad Sanitaria, salvo las excepciones que reglamentariamente se determinen por la Consejería de Sanidad y Bienestar Social. Por la Consejería de Sanidad y Bienestar Social, oídos los Colegios Oficiales de Farmacéuticos, se determinarán las existencias mínimas de medicamentos que las oficinas de farmacia están obligadas a disponer de forma permanente. La actuación del farmacéutico deberá coordinarse con los demás servicios sanitarios de la Comunidad Autónoma y especialmente con el Equipo de Atención Primaria de su Zona Básica de Salud.
